1. Agreement
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of PreFriction (https://prefriction.com), operated by Agemoware ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use PreFriction.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the service.
You must provide accurate information in your profile and use the service only for lawful roommate-compatibility and related social purposes.
3. The service
PreFriction helps people compare lifestyle and roommate preferences, discover others, chat, and (where available) receive rule-based compatibility scores and AI-generated summaries.
We do not guarantee matches, housing outcomes, or the accuracy of compatibility scores or AI text. AI outputs are informational only and are not professional advice.
Features may change during early access. We may add, modify, or remove features with reasonable notice where practicable.
4. Your account and content
You sign in with a supported identity provider (e.g. Google). You are responsible for activity on your account.
You retain ownership of content you submit (photos, profile answers, messages). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, display, process, and transmit that content solely to operate and improve the service.
You must not upload illegal content, impersonate others, harass users, scrape the service, or attempt to bypass security or access controls.
5. Blocking and reports
You may block other users. Blocking is permanent for your account: you will not see each other in discovery, profiles, or chat, and you cannot undo a block through the app.
You may submit reports with a description of your concern. We review reports according to our policies and may take action on accounts that violate these Terms.
6. Premium subscriptions
Some features require a paid subscription processed by Lemon Squeezy (our merchant of record). Prices, billing interval, and taxes are shown at checkout.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled through the customer portal linked from the app. Refund and cancellation rights depend on applicable law and Lemon Squeezy's policies.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) use the service for fraud or illegal activity; (b) publish hate speech, threats, or sexual content involving minors; (c) share others' private data without consent; (d) reverse engineer or overload our systems.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose risk to other users.
8. Disclaimer
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the service.
9. Limitation of liability
Our total liability for claims relating to the service in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us for subscriptions in that period, or (b) fifty euros (€50), except where liability cannot be limited under mandatory law.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will post the revised version with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
11. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Consumers in the EU/EEA may retain mandatory rights under their country of residence.
